Restore Monarchy - August 2026 Update

Recently I spoke with MCrow about improvements to Restore Monarchy. By implementing the usage of modern Steam endpoints and improving tracking across servers and the workshop, Restore Monarchy has released an impressive update to site.

Server Pages

Updated Server Overviews

By visiting the page of a specific server, you can view server advertisement data that is typically only visible within Unturned itself. You can now view the full description of a server with it also being formatted for the site. Alongside that, you can quickly access server links. For those who like more technical data, you can view the game version, plugin framework version, and monetization setting.

Easily View Server Configuration

Server settings that differ from the base game configuration are organized within the 'Config' tab of a server. If you are specific about tailoring your gameplay experience, this is just for you. For those who have a broader understanding of Unturned's configuration, you can switch to the 'Config.txt' tab to access an auto generated configuration to use on your own.

Server Workshop Summarized

If you are a player looking to install the mod collection of a server without viewing it in-game, you can now access a simple list of all server mods. You'll have access to a mod's workshop link, asset browser*, file size, type, and update date. If your hardware requires less memory or storage use, you can confirm the total file size as well.

Promotion Through Embeds

If you have ever used the legacy server voting sites, then you may know about embed and image cards used to promote server connection details and player count. Restore Monarchy now allows you to embed a server card into any HTML site using Iframes. If you want to provide a server card on popular platforms such as the Steam Workshop, markdown-based forums, or Discord, Restore Monarchy has image versions for you.

Better Game Statistics

Country Metrics

Ever wondered if your country leads in terms of player share? You can now view metrics on the amount of servers, players, and percentage share for each country that has Unturned players. Player country is determined by what host server they play on.

Workshop Mirroring

Restore Monarchy is the best place to observe the ever expanding workshop for Unturned. The site tracks creator count, total size of all mods, how many used on servers**, and the most used tags.

If you are interested in how many mods are maintained, you can view how many mods have been updated within a month, year, 1-3, or longer.

Plugin Data

Plugins are an essential part of running a server. You can now view a more complete version of plugin statistics based on name. Like the workshop monitoring, you can view the amount of active servers using these plugins and how many players are playing on such servers.

Server List

The server list on Restore Monarchy has received several quality of life improvements. Servers now have a flag icon on them that represents the country that their dedicated server is based in**. The site has also put a focus on mod awareness, with servers having their mod file size immediately visible.

For the server filters, newer dropdowns for region, country, and workshop mod have been added. Workshop mod dropdown allows for searching for servers with mods, only with mods, without mods, and any specific mod.

In-game Server List Curation

With the site being the center of statistical and informational data about servers, it only made sense to bring that in some manner to the in-game experience. You can now setup a server curation asset via its link on the Restore Monarchy website.

When active, you'll get server tags and listings such as ranking, mod file size, server uptime, and server location/region. Additional niche tags include marking duplicate server lists and unverified player counts.
